‘Mandy has provided valuable support in the challenges that I face in a small national governing body of sport.’

What is coaching and how can it help me?

Coaching is a fully confidential one-on-one dialogue, conducted on the telephone or in person. Together, we concentrate on the challenges or skills that you would like to discuss. I facilitate your own thought process, meaning the approach is not ‘directive’ (I will not tell you what to do). Instead, I support you in setting the appropriate goals and ways of assessing your progress. My role is to provide you with a challenging and reflective environment in which to define and actualize the most suitable solution for your situation. It’s simple. And it works!

Perhaps you are looking for personal coaching to help to support you through a particular challenge, either private or work-related. Or you might be looking for coaching in the workplace for team leaders, executives or company talent. Either way, one-on-one coaching can support you or your employees through transition points and new challenges.

Is this you?

Are you facing a challenge that feels daunting? Perhaps you are experiencing personal or career transition – or maybe both simultaneously. You might need support in making a difficult decision, or with generating ideas or creating an action plan.

Typically, I work with clients on managing change and uncertainty, building confidence, and on developing their personal skills. But coaching can be used for whatever topic you wish to discuss in a session. Bravura’s clients are successful people who are passionate about constantly challenging and upgrading themselves.

Does this sound familiar?
  • I’m good at my job, but how do I get an edge in the current environment?
  • I want to leave corporate life, but don't know how.
  • Am I making the right impression?
  • I need to be more confident.
  • I’ve been made redundant – now what?
  • I want to make changes in my life, but feel stuck.
  • My personal life has changed radically.
  • I need to reinvent myself.

How Bravura Coaching can help you

Find ways to respond to challenges creatively and effectively, rather than reacting with familiar ineffectual patterns. How would it be if you could find new ways of engaging with challenges – ways that really tap into your creativity? Coaching provides an opportunity to identify the options you have at your disposal, and encourages you to grow your own style of living and working.

Embrace affirmative action. Coaching will help you to look at your situation from different perspectives. It will also challenge you to define the steps to your desired outcomes, and support you during every part of that process. Action creates traction.

Expect to identify your strengths and to put them to work with confidence.

The current global financial crisis has changed how we view business leaders and the contributions of employees. There is more emphasis on individual responsibility, awareness and qualitative (as opposed to mainly quantitative) development.

This is good news for forward-thinkers, like you, who recognize the importance of nurturing your talent, and developing yourself from within. Coaching can play a fundamental role in this process, since it focuses on defining and developing your strengths and inner qualities. Expect to challenge some old assumptions about how you work and live.

How it works

Bravura Coaching utilizes a straightforward, results-orientated approach – with some fun and creativity! Coaching is a fully confidential, non-confrontational and objective environment in which you discuss your situation. The approach is flexible and creative – and quite often fun and challenging! Coaching a senior executive may require a different approach to coaching someone in a more creative profession, for instance. The first step of our work together is ensuring a good fit, which we can determine in a free no-obligation discussion.

Convenient and International Most coaching is done on the telephone, though face-to-face coaching can also be discussed. The advantage of tele-coaching is not only convenience in terms of travel time and scheduling, but also the possibility of offering international support, subject to time zones. Mandy has clients in various countries, including the UK, Slovenia, Canada and Turkey. Coaching sessions may take place in a series, as is most often the case, or as single sessions for particular topics. Each coaching session is followed by a written summary of topics discussed that week, which the coach emails to you. All sessions are entirely confidential.

What people say

Find the best way forward ‘Mandy has provided valuable support in the challenges that I face in a small national governing body of sport. The workload is enormous with challenges of very limited resources, lack of support and structure leading to poor communication and conflict from volunteers. Mandy’s perspective and coaching technique focused on these particular challenges, questioning and evaluating my proposed approach of how to get back in “my helicopter” and the best way forward’. Steve Cannon, CEO, British Weight Lifters’ Association.

Perform better ‘Coaching definitely helped me in my corporate job. It was not about Mandy giving me advice, but more about her really hearing what I said. By expressing myself, I could then devise my own ways to perform better. Mandy helped me to realize what I need, which helps on a day-to-day basis, especially in my working life where lacking confidence is not an option.’ Investment Banker, Dresdner Kleinwort, London.

Experience the life you want to live ‘I guarantee you that Mandy is the most experienced, most passionate, clever, honest, witty, inventive, gentle and warm guide you can find to take you on a journey of experiencing the life you want to live right now, in the best possible way.’ Ana Lasić, Independent Motion Pictures and Film Professional, Slovenia.

Feel more whole ‘When Mandy began coaching me I felt very much unsettled in my professional as well as in my private life. I knew there must be a better way. I was hoping Mandy could help. After having completed the coaching I clearly feel that there is a ‘before me’ and an ‘after me’. With her clarity, insight and ‘saying the right thing at the right moment,’ Mandy gently led me from realisation to realisation about myself. It literally felt as if her questions or comments opened up entire landscapes in my subconsciousness that, as a result of our sessions, I managed to incorporate into my conscious everyday life.

As a result, I feel more whole and awake and my actions and decisions are more informed by me and more in tune with who I am. Mandy is also very clear about the various techinques that may be helpful, be it during coaching or afterwards. I especially loved the ‘filters’, personal guiding words, that I may choose to apply in moments of decision or crisis. Because they are mine and in tune with who I am, I can rely on them to work for me.’ Sanja Jurca Avci, Theater Set & Costume Designer, and Film Script Writer, Slovenia.

Overcome Obstacles ‘Mandy really challenged me to look at things differently. I stopped putting things off and moved forward with my projects.’ Neil Binder, Director and Vice President, British Weight Lifters’ Association.

Get a Fresh Perspective ‘Mandy encouraged me to find a fresh perspective on a variety of challenging situations I was facing, and gave me some great tools to achieve positive results.’ Hayley Romo, Dennis Consultants, Canada.
